Newly curious about real estate investing!

Hello BP people!!

I recently discovered BiggerPocket from the MMM Blog and it piqued my interest.

I'm a Pasadena native, currently living in Pasadena, and I would like to stay in the Los Angeles area (that is, if I were to stay in North America).

I'm not sure if real estate investing is a viable for me here in the LA area, especially since I currently have an average income by US standards (which means I'm considered poor by LA standards). But, if I can make it work for myself (or be convinced to move elsewhere), I'm sure BP will show me how!

Thanks for the words of encouragement, guys! I've definitely taken the Mustachian saving principles to heart, but it still puts me a couple of years away from 20% down on even a bargain LA home. That's why I'm here . . . to learn the tricks of the trade!
