Newbie in the DMV

Greetings BiggerPockets community,

My name is Robert Norris and I am a newbie, not only to BP but also the concept of REI. I've spent this past year overseas on sabbatical as an American football ambassador in Australia and Brazil. During this time, I have studied REI as much as time and distance allows.

I'm hoping to use this venue to find a community of REIs in the DMV area, specifically PG county, willing to share insights and experiences. Upon return from Brazil later this month, I will be preparing for my final college semester, preparing for the LSAT to study RE-law and would also love to see REI firsthand.

My long-term goals are to create and invest in commercial real estate opportunities. Short term, I would love to learn how to create residual income to help offset the financial commitment of law school.
