Hi from Christiansburg VA
I started off buying a duplex and living in one side and grew it to where I owned 381 duplexes and a couple of commercial properties.
A few years ago I bought a large property and built 2 50 unit apartment complexes using 2 silent investors. Last year I tried to buy out both investors and was turned down so I built a 50 unit complex. This year we started construction on 2 new 50 unit complexes that will be finished in the next couple of months.
Both of my silent investors decided to sell out after I started construction on the last 2 complexes. I working on selling around 120 duplexes to get out of dept from buying out my investors.
I do feel that time and money wise I would rather manage large complexes than duplexes spread out all over the place.
