Hello from San Francisco!

Hello Everyone,

My name is James!  I'm new to BP and a few months ago started listening to real estate investing podcasts when I found out about BP.

I currently own one single family home that I've rented for over 20 years and I'm looking forward to learning how to invest in more buy and hold properties in the future.  Although I've had this house for a long time, I feel I'm a newbie in the Landlord business, so I'm looking to learn all I can in the coming months.

I would be interested in talking with other individuals in this area who have more experience in investing in the Bay Area and for that matter anyone who knows how to purchase foreclosed properties.  This is one of the topics I'm looking forward to learning.

Thanks!!

Welcome to Biggerpockets!

You should definitely connect with @JMartin. He is hosting a fantastic convention next weekend. There will be investors from all over meeting in San Francisco. You should DEFINITLY come if your available. I am driving in from the central valley and would love to meet up!

We plan to use real estate as our early retirement plan. This is an amazing place and you will learn tons. We are buy and hold investors! so we are in it for the long term cash-flow.

Another great place is to look around the blogs, forums and listen to the podcasts. If you see a post you enjoy check out the persons signature. Many of us including myself talk about our strategies, styles, niches and business model on our website. So definitely check that out as it is an amazing additional resource. For example, my blog is about while working full time, buy and hold investing, 0% Down Rentals, Personal Properties turned rentals, Long distancing investing, self-managing 3,000+ miles away. Definitely list your blog or website in your signature, if you have one. Its a great additional networking source.

Look forward to seeing you around! Let me know if I can help!
