Hello to all,

I've been lurking on here for a few months now and finally decided to join. I'm a mechanical engineer by trade but ive always been interested in real estate. After years of being fearful i am now fully committed to taking control of my financial future and making my first deal.

I noticed there are lots of members here in the midlands. Any suggestions for top property management companies?

Also, i have searched and searched about this but what is the solution to the dreaded "SC property tax problem"? Are there any strategies, loopholes or other tricks of the trade to maintain positive cashflow on a long term rental while paying 3x as much in taxes as owner occupants?

Anyway, I look forward to meeting some of the members here and soaking up all the knowledge i can.
