Hello Bigger Pockets family!

My name is James Nam, and I am a young (I heard from a BP podcast that 'young' is anything under 40 years old so I'll go with that, haha) to-be investor from NJ. I've been looking into REI for a while now, but was always turned off by unrealistic expectations set by other REI sites; that is, until I found BP. I started off slowly with some articles, then got hooked on the podcasts, and lo and behold... am now posting my first post on the forum!

I am definitely excited to join the BP community -- even my meager two weeks of being on this site has given me more information than I can chew and I've learned so much more from BP than all the other websites I've read combined. 

My biggest incentive to building a RE Portfolio is so that I can augment my current income and hopefully build stability for my parents as they are now steadily but surely looking over the edge to retirement, as well as other family and friends (and of course, help myself in the future as well!).
