Hi, everyone! I'm a new member, and this is the first discussion group I've wanted to join in since the Motley Fool UK. I used to participate in their real-estate investment discussions when I lived in England and started researching buy-to-let investing there.

I'm now a real estate broker back in my home town of San Antonio, Texas. Unlike many agents, I actually specialize in working with investors. Over the years, I have invested in condos and single-family homes, three of which I still own and manage. I prefer single-family homes and long-term rentals (especially after the nightmare experiences with managing small apartments for my clients), but rehabs and "slow" flips are really interesting, too.

I'm here to learn about other markets to invest in (although it will be hard to beat San Antonio). I'm also here to offer my experience and my unsolicited opinions!

Cheers,
