Good Afternoon Everyone!

That's right.. My name is J.  So if you know someone that has a letter for a name.. chances are it's me.  I'm a newbie from Austin Texas looking at getting my start in investing.  My wife and I had a second home that we rented out for several years in Cedar Park... It didn't cash flow at all.  But we made some great money when we sold it in April.  The wheels were spinning then.

The sale of that home is what really got me excited about beginning to invest in Real Estate.  I am a commercial insurance salesman by trade, but really want to get more involved in investing on the side.

I am interested in starting slow, with a single or multi-family home in one of the college towns in or around Austin. (i.e. San Marcos, Waco, College Station, etc).

I came across Bigger Pockets through a Google search.

Any advice, blog posts, podcasts, etc you could share with me will be soaked up and much appreciated.

I look forward to getting involved in the community!
