Howdy! 

By way of introduction, my name is Jeff Lucas and I recently moved to Boulder CO from San Francisco. I am a Strategy Consultant at Deloitte Consulting by day, and an aspiring real estate investor on nights and weekends. Currently, my goal is to invest in my first property before my 26th birthday (June 2015). As such, I have been diligently studying and reading about real estate for the last few years. I was turned on to Bigger Pockets through the Podcast (I’ve listened to every one!) and the UBG (Ultimate Beginners Guide). I have also read a plethora of well-known real estate investing books and don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. I am now starting to hunt for and perform analysis on properties in both Charleston SC and Colorado markets. I could not be more excited about building my portfolio and my network with the help of BP. Please don’t hesitate to reach out for anything and everything.

Welcome to Biggerpocket!

We are buy and hold investors with full time jobs. I am also a financial analyst and we invest in Charleston, SC. That is a great market just watch out for the High Investor Taxes, and Insurance. Let me know if you need any names :)

Definitely check out the blogs, podcast and forums. Another great source of information is individual blogs found in peoples signatures. Many of us including myself write about our niche. The only thing we all agree about is investing in Real Estate. Beyond that there are many different style and types of investing. My blog/website is about long distance self management, landlording, investing in class A investments, investing in a transient lifestyle, etc.
