Hello BiggerPockets,
I started in real estate about 5 years ago by purchasing a sfr that needed some work. I did most of the work myself in hopes of gaining knowledge of the skills/tools/materials involved in remodeling. I kept the house as a rental, and since have been buying distressed homes and fixing them up. I currently own 3 sfr, a duplex and a fourplex. I decided to get my license shortly after I purchased my first property to be more efficient and also to further understand real estate investing. I hope my experience as a remodeler, landlord and agent will benefit the group. I also hope to learn from some of the more experienced investors that I have been following on this forum for several months.
