Hey, I’m Blake. I just graduated from Pomona College in Los Angeles, where I majored in Cognitive Science and Linguistics. On the next leg of my journey, I’m looking into teaching English in South Korea or Thailand to save up money for backpacking trips, and in general I’m aiming to avoid work that I’m not truly engaged in as much as possible.

Like so many, I got excited about investing after reading “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”, and I’ve been listening to the Bigger Pockets podcast ever since. I'm now eager to cultivate passive income streams that exceed my expenditures---through real estate and other means.

Lately I feel a bit like I’m in a foreign land in my life. I’ve been way-too-dutifully listening to what parents and teachers and professors want from me for so many years. I was the girl who always made sure to get perfect grades, and I did this up through my final year at college. It feels like now I have the chance to take things into my own hands, but I’m learning it’s tough to chart your own course.

A focus of mine lately has been researching different forms of community—from co-housing to monastic life to intentional communities—and understanding how our intentions are, or aren’t, successfully put into practice.

I’m also really into yoga, mindfulness meditation, and biking.

I love chatting with people with similar interests and goals, so feel free to send me a message.
