Hello everyone,

I've been lurking on the site for the last few weeks. I can't tell you how many videos I've watched in that time period. I'd like to thank everyone for sharing their experience and knowledge.  It's incredible the amount of information available on this site. Real estate is thoroughly addicting.

I'm currently in the Army, but I'm beginning my transition to retirement. My brother and I formed a LLC to start buying rental properties. He is in Washington State and I'm in KC. He is a pizza franchise owner in Seattle.

We are focusing on multi-family units. Our goal is have enough income from rental property to retire comfortably. We are looking to close an all cash deal within the next 30 days and maybe buy one more property by the end of the year.  I love learning about real estate, so any help or useful advice is always appreciated!

Thanks,

Shannon

@Shannon R.

Welcome fellow Bigger Pockets member! This is a great forum and I am sure it will help you learn many facets of the real estate investment world. I purchased my first investment property over 40 years ago and only wish that I had a resource like BP community when I got started! So you are in a good company.

Some say that your net-worth equals your network, and this is the place to make right connections. You should also find investors locally and network with them face-to-face. Find people close to you using MEET feature. Also, look for investor meetings on Meetup.

All the best!
