Hello from Mazatlan, Mexico (construction business owner)

Hi everybody:

More than glad to find and join the BP Community. My family owns a construction company with heavy machinery and equipment; our business works mainly as a contractor of public infrastructure (highways, bridges, ports, sewages, etc) for government, with some private work as warehouses, schools, and so on.

We want to take advantage of our long time expertise in construction and machinery to expand to real estate development, as we think (not sure) that might be of some value to the table.

What would be your suggestions? My ideas are:

1) Start approaching and networking with ALL the real estate agencies to see how we can make a partnership or alliance: they provide the "market knowledge" and potential customers, we provide the construction planning and execution.  (Or maybe form an alliance with just ONE agency)

2) Form an alliance with an architect experienced (or if not experienced, with potential) in real estate development (condos, appartments).

Any other ideas or comments about the 2 points mentioned above will be welcome and appreciated,

Thank you very much,

Jose Sanchez
