Hey Everyone,

New agent here trying to learn the basics of real estate.  My firm doesn't have any training or introductory programs so I'm very much in need of any practical information or advice about procedures, forms, etiquette and pretty much everything that's not taught in the books.  The site seems like a great resource for those types of things and I'm really glad I found it.

One example of something I'm really in the dark about- I'd like to know when and how is it legal/ethical to follow-up on expired listings?  Is it okay to get post-dated agreements signed before the current contract runs out?  Is it customary to cold call the owners directly?

Thanks,

-Tim Webb
