New Investor in the Twin Cities, Minnesota

Hello everyone!

My name is Tyler Jaros and I am a senior at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.  I am studying Accounting and plan on going into public accounting after graduation.

Over the past few months, I have become interested in Real Estate Investing.  Ideally, I would like to start in rentals.  My first major goal is to buy a duplex in the Twin Cities within the next year.  I would like to live in one side and rent the other side out to start.  Is this a solid way to start as a first property investment?

I look forward to some responses and would love to connect with as many people in Minnesota to build relationships with and learn from.  Feel free to contact me at anytime!
