New member in Cheraw, SC - Investing in rentals and flips

Hey everyone,

I'm a fairly new investor located in my hometown of Cheraw, SC.  Lately, since starting my real estate journey a few months ago, it has really taken on a whole new meaning for me.  I'm very excited about becoming a new member on BP, and I can't wait to start networking and gathering knowledge from all the resources available.

I have thought about investing in real estate for several years now, but my true background in real estate started just a few months ago, in May, when I made an offer on my first property with plans to rehab and flip.  Fast-forward less than 3 months later, and the flip is now on the market and should potentially net quite a favorable profit.  I've also made an offer and plan to close this week on a small, multi-family apartment complex that will be cash-flowing immediately.  All I can say is that I'm definitely hooked!!

My goal is to buy as many favorable rental properties that I can as they come along, and possibly flip a few here and there to gain more capital.  My long-term goal is to obtain enough properties to replace my current salary with monthly cash-flow so that I can retire young, or at least work on my own schedule.

If anyone has any advice, tips, or suggestions, please feel free to give them as I know I still have much to learn, and I appreciate every bit of knowledge I can get.  Also, any suggestions for reputable lenders is always a plus.

Thanks everybody,

Colby Jacobs
