How to find an Owner of a property?

Hey , I am sure all you experienced investors have heard of driving for dollars. Well I  was doing such over the weekend and came upon a property that I am interested in, What I need to know is how do I go about finding the owner of this property. The property does not appear as if anyone resides there. The brushes and grass is almost the height of the house. I thought about mailing a letter directly to the address but am not sure if it will reach the owner. Pease provide some suggestions.
