New RE agent in Southern California, Los Angeles and surrounding area

My name is Kelly and I am a new RE agent in CA. I was born in Haiti and raised in CA. I didn’t get exposed to the RE world until I moved to FL. For about a year and half I helped Investors find properties to buy for various reasons (i.e. fix/flip, hold…). At one point my then partner and I also began flipping a few properties, and boy did we make some bad mistakes. We still made enough money to move into the clubbing business and that is where I left RE until I came back to CA nearly 10 years later.

I am a newly licensed agent in CA, and feeling a little overwhelmed by the amount of information there is out there on investing and practicing RE. It is also a little intimidating to move into this business with no connections to speak of…so far (hoping BP will help me change that pronto) especially with two new babies at home. But, I have to say one thing: Real Estate is my PASSION. I love searching for deals, matching buyers with properties, recognizing the potential of a property, imagining the possibilities for my future portfolio…and I feel completely blessed to be able to work in a field I love.

I found BP while searching for a great networking site. My goals are to learn as much I can and to continue learning, hoping to avoid making those same costly mistakes of the past. I am strictly a RE agent now, but it is one of my greatest hopes to eventually become an investor through fix/flipping and eventually buying and holding. My challenge is to learn how to do this domestically and internationally. I am also hoping to help anyone who will let me, find them a deal or two ;).

Thank you for the opportunity to join your community. I look forward to forming some great professional relationships. This is exciting!

@Kelly Heraux-Arana two things. On the @ mentions, if the name doesn't come up or you can't scroll down, type @? then wait. All the names of the people in the conversation will pop up.
