New to Investing Young Family from Macon, GA

Good evening everyone!

My husband and I have been interested in Real Investment for quite some time. My husband, Nathan, works for Geico in Macon and I am currently in nursing school at Clayton State University.  We have two girls ages 1 and 3, and we are interested in investing young to build a financial foundation for our retirement and for our family. We are current renters and have never owned a home; however, we have many family members who hold singe family homes to rent, and have helped with the upkeep.  My husband has vast experience with home renovations as a result. We are interested in beginning with very inexpensive single or multifamily homes and building slowly with as little risk as possible. We are currently searching online and working on choosing a realtor to start working towards our first investment.  We've begun by immersing ourselves in books, the BP forums, books, and podcasts and everything we can find. I want to learn everything and it makes me nervous to begin something with not knowing everything about it first.  Can't wait to meet other investors and learn as much as much as we can!
