Hello Everyone!  I'm very excited to have finally joined the BP community.  I've been researching real estate advice online for quite some time now and google wisely directs me to BP all the time, so I finally joined.

I'm here to learn more about real estate and to become friends with fellow investors.  My long-term goal is to have a good quality portfolio of buy-and-hold rental properties. However, since I'm just starting out, my risk appetite is less and I'm looking for rental properties that are close by and ones with easier exit strategies.  That's why I've been looking for decent single family homes on the outskirts of LA.  Everything in LA is so expensive though.  So I think I may need to start considering investing out of state, but I haven't quite started thinking through that process yet.

A little bit about me:  I currently work in business valuations, specializing in entertainment and media companies. I like my day job, but I'd rather be in control of my own time and I want to start preparing for an early retirement.  I would love to get to know any BP members around the West LA area and talk real estate over a cup of coffee or glass of beer.  As for everyone else, I look forward to getting to know you through BP.

Regards,

Ravi
