Newbie in NYC!

Hi everyone!

My name is Katie, and I live in New York City (in Long Island City, a part of Queens, to be specific).

I'm interested in real estate because I've always loved buildings. I think for a long time the thought of actually "doing this" felt like "who am I to think I could succeed at this" so I didn't really try. But recently, I discovered BP, and it really did (as cheesy as this sounds) feel empowering. Real people are doing this!

Honestly, it all feels a little overwhelming right now, but I'm trying to soak up as much as I can from the blog and forums, and may be ordering a book or two soon.

Which is to say, I don't have any real "value" to add on these forums yet, but I am excited to be involved!
