Hey everyone,

I found BP by seeking out a podcast covering real estate, and I'm pretty sure I found exactly what I wanted: a podcast and a community. Podcasts are my main method of listening to new music, the news, educational/informational stuff, and makes my 1.5-2 hour daily commute feel a bit more worthwhile.

When I was in high school, my stepmom (then Real Estate Agent) was doing a lot of BPOs (Broker Price Opinions), and I helped her out by driving around Southern California taking pictures of properties, then bringing them home to her. Sometimes I'd help out with filling out the forms, too (they're like mini-appraisals, so I'd help pull comps and input relevant data).

I joined the Navy after I graduated high school, spent 6 years living on the East coast. I was a submarine nuclear reactor operator and SCUBA diver.

I've always had an interest in Real Estate, but never thought to pursue it as a career or as an investment strategy. A few months ago, I decided to go for it. My stepmom (now Broker) needed a LA-based agent, and that's where I come in.

I'm an Intern at Sprint, working in one of their corporate offices, learning about business sales for the summer. After that's over, I'll be going to school at CSU Long Beach and working as an Agent.

I'm definitely new to Real Estate Investing, and it's something I'd like to do more with some experience and knowledge in the field. I've been doing other investing since around 2008, dabbling with the stock market for the most part.

I'm looking forward to seeing others' stories and interacting where possible.

Probably the most interesting thing about me: I play Roller Derby (yep, men's derby). It's a rad sport and keeps me in shape ;)

I'm also a huge fan of electronic music (trance and progressive are my main squeezes).

Thanks for your time!

Danny
