Newbie from Alameda, California
Hello everyone, my name is Jeremy and I am currently living in Alameda. I will be moving within the next year to Palm Desert, California once I finish my term for the Coast Guard. I am very motivated towards building my wealth and can't wait to get my first step into the real estate world. I have set a personal goal to reach 1 million dollars of net worth by the time I reach 35 in 10 years. I already have a few other investments and am always diligently doing research on how to build more wealth. That has landed me on this site here from reading "Landlords: 8 Tips for Hiring the Best Property Manager" a post on this site. Once I get an idea or want to do something I follow through and keep going until it is done. For instance I got a business idea for my sister and worked so much without realizing 2 days later I had a fully functioning website with loads of content, youtube channel, facebook, twitter, amazon affiliate and google adsense account set up for her which ended up having over 50 visitors the next day. This was while still going to work full time ha. I am going to be putting that ambition towards real estate now as well and would love all the advice I can get. I am looking into possibly using my VA home loan to get a 4 unit house and rent out 3 of them and live in the other. Then just saving and buying more and more properties while I use my post 911 bill to go to school for engineering. I am very new to all of this and appreciate any responses you guys want to throw my way. One thing I wanted to ask, is it worth it to find a good property manager especially since I am not very experienced on my own yet? Or even in the future of helping manage multiple houses?
