Newbie Investor in Nevada and/or Nor Cal
Hello!
My name is John - I'm a newbie investor from San Francisco looking for properties in Nevada and/or Northern California. I bought my first property last year with a partner--a 20 unit apartment building in Reno, NV. It's been a great learning experience and I'm jonesing for my next deal. Right now I'm reading and listening to everything REI I can get my eyes/ears on and trying to figure out what my next deal is going to be.
My current long term goal is to buy and hold a combination of SFR and multifamily properties. Personal capital is limited and I'm considering subject-to and seller financing for my next deal. My other major unknown right now is which market am I going to invest..? I have a great thing going in Reno right now but prices have skyrocketed in the last year and I'm not sure I can get the cash flow. Prices are far too high in the Bay Area so other markets I am considering are Sacramento, Las Vegas, and possibly even Arizona..?
This post has been a bit of a brain dump but it's good for me to put my thoughts down in writing. Any input or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks all!
John
