Newbie from Ben Lomond, California

Hello BiggerPockets,

my name is Steffen and I am a software engineer from the Bay Area. I recently moved a bit away from the hectic of Silicon Valley to the lovely Santa Cruz Mountains, which gives me a longer commute, but a more laid back environment to raise my newborn twins.

I have been a long time lurker and listener of the podcast and finally decided to introduce myself. My hope is to start building a network and learn enough about Real Estate to start doing deals once my kids are a bit older (I hear they sleep through the night at some point?). My goal is to build up enough of an income stream so I can quit my day job and spent more time with my kids.

While I don't have much spare time at the moment I do have some funds available and have started to dip my toes into some low effort deals. So far I have invested in one buy-and-hold deal, a syndication a friend of mine set up.

I'm really looking forward to getting to know all of you, learn a lot and maybe even do some deals.
