Aspiring in Houston

Hello, BP members and thank you already for the education you've provided thus far! My name is Oscar and I have been lurking for a good month and a half already as a great friend of mine did her first flip with astonishing results. I'd always toyed with the idea, but after several years I find I still have the itch. I have committed to listening to every podcast Josh and Brandon throw out there and I listen every morning on the way to work.

I'm really interested in establishing myself as a respected landlord, but I'm certainly open to other ideas. For now, I am simply researching means of purchasing my first property as I continually learn. I do hold a full-time job and would eventually like to establish a portfolio of several rentals in the Houston area. My ultimate goal is to hold several properties within a specified area to contribute to the reestablishment of some of our challenged neighborhoods.
