Southern Indiana small timer with big goals

Hello everyone,

I am a new member who has been sitting on the sidelines for a couple of weeks while soaking up as much knowledge as possible.

I am located in Southern Indiana and have profitably rehabbed 3 properties and have one rental. The flips were done at bad times and always ended up paying enough to clear up bills that my wife and I had incurred through college and the early marriage stage. I would consider them practice more than anything else but now I think we are ready to tackle this thing and create a portfolio.

Our plan is to flip at least two properties before purchasing one or two multifamily units in the local market. I have a solid team around me and that is one of the reasons for hopping in now. I plan on using conventional financing and private money for my first couple of deals and I will be purchasing my first official property.

My reason for real estate investing is my wife and two beautiful daughters. I would love to be able to financially secure our future so we can spend more quality time together. My other reason for doing this is the desire to turn neglected properties into beautiful first homes for young families.
