Good afternoon, and nice to meet y'all,

I have been following a few posts on this site for a couple weeks, and I am really impressed with the knowledge and sense of community here at BiggerPockets. I feel lucky to become a part of it!

I am former chemist and Naval Officer getting ready to retire from the service to start a small real estate investment company with my husband, Robert Gouthro. We currently own 3 rental properties along the Atlantic coast near bases where I was stationed. Though our REI experience is limited, we are now looking to rehab small single family homes in the greater Charleston area in the $80-150k range.

We also enjoy teaching karate and judo in our spare time and live by the concept of mutual welfare and benefit. That is one of the foundations of our fledgling company and seems to be a guiding principle at BiggerPockets. That said, please let me know if I can ever be of assistance, and I look forward to getting to know many of you as we grow our businesses!
