New guy from Southeastern Massachusetts.
Hello everyone -
I wanted to take a second and introduce myself. I'm new to BP and REI; looking to get into some multifamily deals in the Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island areas. I've been lurking on BP for a few days now, and have already gained a tremendous amount of insight. I have a finance background (albeit not in Real Estate), so I love pouring over the models and analysis of potential deals...now it's time to get some done.
I look forward to getting to know everyone.
Cheers,
John

Hi John, welcome to BP.
This is a great place to learn. Make sure to listen to all the BP podcasts, read the articles on the main blog and be active in these forums to learn a ton very quickly about any topic in real estate you want to know more about.
This is also a great place to meet people that can be assets to your business. Lots of great connections all over but we also have a very strong and active contingent here in MA on here so make sure to find them (Set up some keyword alerts to find out about local topics) and get connected.
Besides doing that on here make sure to get out to some of the many local investor events we have. In your neck of the woods you should check out the Eastern Mass REIA's meeting in Taunton (also have a 2nd one in Rockland). There is also a REIA in or near Providence. After that if you are willing to drive there is that Rockland meeting, there is one in Plymouth and it would be worth the drive to go to the Black Diamond meetings (One in Worcester and one in Waltham, so roughly equally inconvenient for you:) ). Lots more stuff if you really like to drive when you get north of Boston.
BTW after Nomah you were always my favorite Sox SS. :)
