Hi, first and foremost I want to greet all the people in the biggerpockets community, my name is Roger Santana and live in Tampa, FL. I am a newbie that started in the world of real estate investing 6 months ago and haven't done any deal yet. After working in different jobs I realized that real estate investing is what I like and enjoy doing.

Now I know this is the best site for a real estate investor to networking and learn and acquire knowledge.

I recently got my real estate licence and became a realtor because I thought that was going to be easier to do my first deal when I had access to the MLS but now I realized that my big obstacle is doubt and indecision and I have to overcome that.

I would like some advices to break the ice and start making money, also I would like to meet others investors here in Tampa or Brandon, either newbies like me or experienced investors because it gives you confident interacting with others investors and if I can be of any help to someone just let me know, I am more that willing to meet others investors.

Welcome @Roger Santana to BP. Be sure to read the Learn section above it is loaded with great info. You can also set key word alerts to keep up on topics or areas of interest like "Tampa". Start reading and asking questions or answering questions as your experience dictates on the forums and get involved.

As to how to get started, learn your market and figure out what is a good deal and what is not. Then when you see a good deal go for it. Run it past us on the forums if you have doubt, but get going.
