New to Real Estate!

Hey everyone! My name is Jason. I'm 23, born and raised in New Jersey, and looking to begin investing in real estate. My first purchase may be 1-2 years from now, but I want to begin laying the groundwork by learning and connecting with others. Currently, I'm working on an MBA in England. I'll be back in the USA this summer or fall and will likely rent a place and begin working. My location will be driven by my career, but it'll likely be in New Jersey and almost certainly will be in the Northeast.

After settling in, networking, and learning for a year (give or take), I plan to start searching for deals on a multi-family property to househack. That way, I can (1) break into real estate and (2) eliminate my rent expense. I'm very excited about this possibility and am excited to work to make it happen. I started asking around about real estate about a month ago, viewing it as an investment to add to my portfolio later in life. But over the last two weeks, as I've kicked my learning into full gear, I've begun to realize that this could be a viable strategy sooner rather than later—a sentiment that has been affirmed in some of the conversations I've had in the last month.

Please feel free to connect with me on BP, Instagram, or LinkedIn (links to my profiles). I'm looking forward to connecting with the BP community!!

Welcome to BP Jason. It's exciting to start in real estate at your early stage of life.

I would love to be connected to fellow BP members. You might also like few of the blog posts I wrote on BP about getting started in real estate.
