Rookie - Fix and flip in NYC

Hello everyone, I now live in Manhattan and own one rental property here. I was a southern CT resident for 15 years and own a rental property in Trumbull CT as well. After seeing my brother's success with flix and flip in the bay area over the last 4 years, I decided to explore the same in New York. However, given the price points in NYC, I am looking to southern CT so that I can start small for my first project. CT is 1-2 hour drive from my location depending on the town and is manageable for one project. I would love to hear from others doing flix and flip in NYC on their experience on doing this business. There is a ton of fix and flip going on in Brooklyn and I am trying to work my confidence towards that after my first project at a lower price point around 300K somewhere (CT seems like my only option).
