Hi From San Diego!
Hi Everyone!
I'm a 15-year resident of San Diego, looking for someone or many someones to learn-from, either as a mentor or as a partner. If you are willing to teach, I am willing to learn as much as you are willing to pass down. I don't sleep very much and have no problem working on something for as long as it takes.
I currently work Full-Time as a Project Manager (Corporate, not Construction) with a Commercial Property Management Firm, and have decided that I want to move past "making money for others" and transition to an Investment/Entrepreneurial career. Real Estate has always been my interest, and I live the "Business Owners" mentality anyway, where weekends and nights are just days/times when other people don't work.
I come from a real estate family involved in finance and exclusively buy-and-hold strategies. So I have experience in those arenas. However, my family has never sold a property in almost 40 years of residence in the United States. They've never actually bought a previously-occupied home either - they exclusively purchase new constructions (they like the Builder Warranty).
Personally I'm more interested in the speed and variety of the rehab/renovation strategies, where my family have no interest, and here's where I need some help. I think I have many of the skills and experience for a good start in the industry. I'm not starting from scratch, but I need someone who can show me a good place to start or at least let me tag along and see how it's done.
I have skills in any kind of property maintenance/rehab, as I maintain my parents' properties to keep their repair costs very low (free labor): electrical/lighting, pour concrete, pavers, landscaping, roof repairs, flooring, carpet, tiles, water heaters, interior renovations, electrical overhauls/repairs, kitchen remodels, etc.
I've also personally upgraded my personal SFR with a kitchen renovation, upgraded landscaping, electrical, and pavers. I'm practically a licensed contractor/electrician.
You name it, I've done it - either personally or PM'd all the work. So I am more-than-willing willing to do all this for anyone and bring in some capital when necessary, in exchange for knowledge and guidance!
I want to learn from you, and can help you while I'm doing it!
