Hey everyone,

I hope this message finds you well! I’m reaching out as I’m looking to venture into the real estate investment world—something I’ve always wanted to do, and now I’m determined to take action.

Last year, I found the perfect multi-family house, but it fell through at the last minute, leading me to jump into a single-family home. In retrospect, I wish I had been a bit more patient and pursued a multi-family option to take advantage of house hacking.

As a newcomer to this field, I’ve been following the BiggerPockets forums and podcast for quite some time now. My target markets are NY and CT, but I’m definitely open to expanding my horizons.

Since most friends and family members are hesitant about real estate investing, I'm on the lookout for a mentor who can guide me through this journey and potentially partner with me along the way.

If you have any advice or know someone who might be willing to help me get started, please let me know! I’d greatly appreciate any support or direction.

Thank you!

Best regards,

Jose

Hey Jose, welcome to BP!

I would connect with some local investor-friendly agents in your market. Often times they're buying deals themselves and can share a ton of perspective from both an agent/investor lens.

I would also check out some local investor meetups on Meetup.com or Eventbrite to find some mentors as well. These guys are always out networking to find more deals.
