Accounting student (and one-day investor) new to the site :)

Hello all :)

My name is Kristen and I'm a 24 year old student from Florida. I am currently majoring in Accounting and wanting to pursue a Masters in Real Estate from either USF or UF (granted I keep my straight A average lol).

My real passion lies in real estate investing. Though I have not invested yet, I plan to use my accounting degree after the next year to earn enough money to fund my investments, to save money as an investor later on, and to manage my finances once I've made a substantial amount of money. I also intend to get a real estate license in order to better educate myself on the selling and purchasing of property.

I joined Bigger Pockets because despite offering a Masters program in Real Estate, my school does not offer any undergraduate real estate courses or have any real estate clubs. As a newbie to the investment field, I still have lots of questions and wanted an environment where I could actually find answers to them!

Though I'm shy by nature (especially in new groups), I thought I'd reach out and introduce myself. I look forward to reading all of your forum posts (I'm like a sponge, I just can't get enough!) and I look forward to making new connections and friendships, and maybe even finding a mentor along the way.

Talk soon! Feel free to message me and introduce yourself as well :)

Kristen
