Introduction - Upstate NY Real Estate Agent interested in Flipping Properties

Hi! I just joined the Bigger Pockets online community. I'm a Licensed Real Estate Agent in Upstate NY - more specifically the Capital District outside of Saratoga Springs, NY.

I haven't started my investment journey yet, but I am interested in Fix & Flips and short-term rentals. I have a background in design and come from a long line of handy people as my Grandfather and Father have both done their share of renovations and home construction. I've never met a DIY project I couldn't accomplish (yet).

I'm not really sure where to begin, but I'm thinking about asking a more experienced flipper if they would be willing to let me shadow them on a project to learn the ropes. I would love to hear how others dove into the industry!
