Hello everyone,

My name is Charlie Hulme, and I'm new to real estate investing. I've been lurking for a while here on BP, and finally decided to get out there and network with this amazing community. I'm by no means a real estate pro, but I did sign up for a Pro membership because I think it's important to support Bigger Pockets, and give something back in return for the priceless information the site offers.

I acquired my first buy and hold property (SFR) in 2012. I've been through numerous corporate transfers, so I've also done pretty well by renovating houses that I've purchased to live in and subsequently sold when it came time to move. It's not quite the same as active real estate investing, but it's been a great opportunity to learn about some of the nuts and bolts of the rehab process. I'm not planning on any more moves with the company, so we're calling Austin home from here on out.

I'm looking for buy and hold residential properties in the Austin metro area and surrounding counties. I'm also interested in rehab opportunities for fix and flip, as well as infill development in established residential neighborhoods.
