Hi, everyone!

I have been somewhat of a wallflower here on Bigger Pockets (reading your Q&A's, etc) for a little over a year now - it's about time I introduced myself, right?! I apologize for being so rude :-P.

My name is Paige Kettner. I am a college student and small business owner in Norfolk, VA. I am completely new to the world of real estate investing, but hope to change that very soon !

I am currently searching for my very first property, which ideally will be a small multiplex that I can both occupy and rent out.

I must say that while I am excited to start achieving my REI goals, I am extremely nervous! Thanks to you all, however, I am gaining more and more confidence every day!

I look forward to building wonderful relationships with you all here on Bigger Pockets, and to continue to learn as much as I can!

Paige Welcome to BP. Norfolk holds a lot of special memories for me being an ODU graduate and having lived there for 5 yrs. The market there in my opinion is def better where I am now (Boston, MA). In fact, I am thinking of investing there from out of state to do the same thing you're trying to do (MFs but owner absentee).

I've been on BP for the last 2 weeks and there's a lot of valuable info to get from here. Podcasts + blog + and their eBook and you'll be one step ahead.
