Making connections as a rookie

Hi! Hope all are well. I'm new to real estate investing and just want to connect with & learn from those on this platform. I'm excited to start my journey, but would like to do so in a relatively unfamiliar market with limited existing connections. Any tips/guidance is of course appreciated.

A few details: Looking to house hack a small MF in the Knoxville TN market, not currently connected to any agents or lenders
