Hiring where to start?
Hello everyone, I've been buying and rehabbing properties for long term rentals for going on 8 years now, I enjoy buying properties, designing them, and seeing the end product. I believe this is the best way for me personally to invest and grow my net worth. However in the past I've done the majority of the physical labor on the jobs, and have grown weary of this part of the process, I've tried hiring contractors but pricing seems so high it's hard to make deals work, so my question is where do you find people to hire full time for general work like drywall, flooring, painting, etc..... I believe I've got enough work to hire a couple people full time year round. (Side note I do live in a small town so may have to look in the larger city of Columbus which is an hour away, I've even thought of buying a home and offering it to a full time employee to move to this area but not sure if that would just create more headaches in the long run)

I would recommend hiring subs to help you on your rehabs. Then overtime you will get to know who you can trust to do work on their own.
I would highly recommend not doing this " I've even thought of buying a home and offering it to a full time employee to move to this area but not sure if that would just create more headaches in the long run)." At lease until you get to know the contractor and trust them. Even then make sure you do a background check, credit score, and put them on a legit lease. Treat them like you would any other tenant
