Advice for a young professional entering the industry

Hey BP Fam,

I have been listening to the pods and reading some of the books for about a year now and have really fallen in love with learning about Real Estate and all the various options there are in the industry. Obviously, this is more of an investor community, but many of you also work directly in the industry. This is exactly what I would like to do! I really want to move out of my hometown to the Raleigh area and with that move make a career change and get into Real Estate. I am only three years out of college (marketing) and the majority of my professional experience is in sales/ account management (B2C and B2B). I also have experience leading teams both professionally and for a non-profit organization

Moving forward I would like to get into something more operationally focused and learn how properties run and what makes a great one great! I have mainly focused my job search on Assistant Property/Project manager roles as I believe those would best fit my current skillset and experiences. With how much the Raleigh area is growing it seems like there is endless opportunity down there but I have struggled to get traction due to my lack of industry experience and local network.

I would love to talk with anyone who would be willing to offer advice or lend a hand in any way.
