Newer Investor in Northeast Ohio - ideally Duplexes

Andrew Smith
Posted

Hi All,

I just started the investing journey and currently have one duplex in Stow.  Love the ease of maintenance and longer term tenant model. Am using cash still to try to win the deals on the market- but will want to eventually refinance after improvements are made and value is added.  All leads are appreciated on duplexes in Stow, Hudson, Twinsburg.

@Andrew Smith I agree with you about duplexes and their ease! Congrats on getting started! You can obviously continue using cash to buy your investments, but there are a number of options you can also use to finance both the purchase and then renovations that will require you to use less of your own money. Depending on your goals and the volume of deals you are seeing that you'd consider a "buy" , it might help you scale faster. When you are ready, cash out on DSCR is available with no seasoning, but better rates and leverage after 90 days. If you are looking at conventional for cash out refinancing, your seasoning requirement is longer - I believe it is six months.
