Newbie eager to get started on midterm rentals in IN
Hi!
I am starting out with my real estate investing journey and I would really love to get into midterm rentals in Fort Wayne, IN or Indianapolis, IN. I am putting myself out there hoping I can meet and connect with people who are passionate about this! Do you know of any real estate meetups in those areas? I would love to meet all of you! I would like to connect with investors in those areas. Cheers!

Awesome! Welcome to the forums to real estate investing. I don't know Fort Wayne or Indianapolis, but we have a few midterm rentals in Colorado.
You might check out my wife's YT page. She posts every few days about MTRs and offers a ton of free advice. (Her name is Erin Spradlin. Easy enough to find.)
I guess I'd also add my go-to advice for newbies. Don't overthink it. Rip the bandaid off quickly. Do your research for sure. Find a good agent that knows MTRs and your area. Get a good lender. Compare potential rents to your monthly all-in. But at the end of the day, the biggest mistake I see new investors make is taking two years to buy while looking for the perfect place, instead of buying the pretty-good place, learning along the way, and moving on to your second property.
Good luck with your journey!
