Teacher in DE looking to invest

I am a high school teacher in Delaware looking to learn about real estate investing. I have already taken advantage of the free resources on the site for Pro members, webinars, lease documentation, calculators, etc. I am now turning a corner to building a team and networking with other like-minded individuals experienced in this business. 

At the moment I am reading Brandon Turner's book Managing Rental Properties. I see myself starting out by helping to manage rental properties for a few family friends who own rental properties, then expanding into my own investment in a rental property by 2025. Although I am currently a teacher, I plan to raise capital through day trading and starting a new career in sales either in flooring or alarm systems (again family businesses).
