Wow, I have been a member since March 2013 and this is my first post here in BiggerPockets. My heart is pounding, let's just say I have a bit of a social phobia. ahah! I definitely need to, no...I MUST break out of my comfort level to head into the world of creatively investing in real estate. So please bear with me. Thanks BiggerPockets fam!

So here goes, My name is Josie.. living in Las Vegas and will invest in SFH as my main target area. I have 3 awesome boys and a great hubby. I can say that I have an avid imagination in thinking up business concepts which led me in realizing that real estate can help me in achieving my goals. Since March of 2013, I have been endlessly reading the vast information regarding investing in real estate. It is crazily way more info one can imagine. So before even posting here in Biggerpockets, I wanted to be confident in myself that I am here to do what I intend to do.. and that is, to start investing in real estate. Here are my goals.

Establish real estate experience/credibility by:

- Having a net worth of one million - five million in 1-5 years
- Rehabbing 5-10 properties by end of each calendar year
- Do a 1031 exchange to hold 2-5 properties free & clear by middle year of 2015. And do so every other year to create passive income of $2k-$5k/mo, then realizing a passive income of $20k-$30k/mo in 10yrs.

Since I only know so much about real estate, I intend to create a working relationship with professional individuals to assist/help/support me as I begin the wonderful journey into real estate investing! Such as the invaluable education BiggerPockets has to offer and the many contributors who gave their great knowledge. YEAH!!!! As you can tell, I am SOOO totally excited now. My hands are kind of shaking as I am typing. Maybe it's because I feel chilly or maybe the excitement of watching the halftime. As I keep typing, I just feel more and more confident and that I know I can do this. That I can achieve my dream... my goal.. to financial stability.. of course, "its all about the money"... hahaha... Now don't judge me... lol. No, but there is more to it than that but I think I am rambling now.

Anyway, the next step for me to do is to ACTUALLY TAKE ACTION! For one, I am taking action by posting here on BiggerPockets. I feel like that is an achievement in itself! YEAH!! So nervous!! lol

But to start off/take the next step to investing is to acquire capital needed to fund real estate purchases. As I've read, many newbie investors tend to find that one deal and fail to acquire capital. So that will be the first plan of action that I will do to invest in real estate before finding that one deal. So to the BiggerPockets family, can I say that I am on the right track? Your insight/support/hand holding is greatly appreciated!
