Hi. I just signed up today. I have my Real Estate License, but my real dream is to become an investor. I'm really at the beginning. I have some money in the bank, but I really don't want to dip too much into it. I live in Bridgeport Connecticut, which is on the verge of a major renaissance, and I want to be a part of it. The house I currently own is my 3rd, and I am currently staying at home to raise my child. I am fortunate to have flipped my homes during the good times, and I am now living off the money I made during that time.
My real dream is to hold many income producing investments, and I am currently studying a "Carlton Sheets" home-tutorial I purchased back in 2001, (slightly out of date, bought it and let it sit unopened in my basement for all of these years) nevertheless, it is the new concepts that are educating me. I would eventually like to become a person who can take an old warehouse and convert it into lofts, but I don't know how to start... I am college educated, I have experience in building, as I was a lead OCIP administrator in my last job, so I understand the insurance end, and I used to document derivatives in the past as well. I would like to begin talking with others about this, and I hope I come in contact with serious people, who are positive thinkers. This jist of it is that I don't know how to get from here to there, but I know I have the smarts, the passion and the ability to learn. Any input?
