Newbie to Real Estate Investing & interested in the Galveston Area

Hi all,

I'm just getting started here. I've been interested in real estate for many years thanks to my husband. I am learning as much as possible by taking the BiggerPockets Bootcamp and listening to numerous podcasts. I am also going to purse my real estate license. Like many of you, I'm looking to transition from my corporate job to REI as soon as possible.

We found a few properties in Galveston that would be great for house hacking and need advice on quick financing so we can to get our first deal under our belt would be greatly appreciated. If there is anyone in the Houston/Galveston area willing to mentor a newbie, please reach out. I’m also interested in any meetups and willing to work on others deals to get the learnings.
