Hello, Newbie from Ny

Hello Everyone,

I have recently attended a seminar about real estate investing and it really peaked my interest in the subject. Of course they were trying to sell their outrageously priced advanced program, and my family and I almost drank the kool-aide but luckily we didn't have the money they wanted. But anyway a Google search has landed me here and this seems like it can be an awesome resource and wealth of information.

I already have a idea of the type of real estate I'd like to get into which is flipping properties that require a good deal of rehab. The reason for this is because I have seen many local communities continually decline with many properties falling apart, and I'd like to be able to give back to the community while making some money as well.

I look forward to getting to meet everyone and start my real estate journey here on bigger pockets.
