Hi everyone,

Really excited I found the BP podcast and this forum. My goal is to generate enough passive income so that I can quit my job and focus on other interests.

I'm 29 and only started taking my finances seriously the last couple of years. Part of my problem is that I struggled to figure out my path in life. I went to college and switched majors 5 times before dropping out, then worked dead end jobs before finding my current gig where I spray pesticides for cell towers. I've been doing this for the last three years and, while it isn't my dream to do this forever, it has been the best paying job I've ever had after previously only working your typical minimum wage jobs. I've been able to learn a lot about managing a small business  as a subcontractor and the better pay has allowed me to work on paying down the debt I have. I will be debt free by the end of this year and have started to think about the next step on my financial journey.

I'm here to soak up all the information I can as I save up for my first rental unit. My plan is to learn all I can about my local market (Utah) and work towards getting my real estate license until I have enough cash reserves to get started.

Hey @Ashton Van Wey - welcome to the community! Great work getting your goals aligned. Take full advantage of everything the BP platform has to offer while you educate yourself on the real estate investing process. Search the forums, check out the "learn" tab up top for educational resources, and try to get out to some local meetups in your area (Meetup.com, events tab up top here in the forums).

I'd be happy to talk through the license process as well if you have any questions on becoming an agent.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help!

Best of luck
