Hi BP community,

My name is Brian Prince and I am currently a 2nd year law student with a primary focus on real estate law. I have obtained valuable experience with real estate over the last few years and I am looking start my own company in move into the commercial space with multi-family properties. I have been working for a large property developer in downtown Indianapolis as well as working for law firm that primarily handles real estate related matters. Additionally, this semester I am interning the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and I am learning a lot about state grants that are available to rehabbers and investors for value projects or new development in lower income areas. In addition to those experiences, I have also worked for a large real estate firm in Indianapolis that managed a portfolio of over 2,000 properties. This company bought and rehabbed about 10-15 homes a month. I was able to gain valuable experience walking these properties and working with the construction team to estimate cost of rehab and see the entire process through, from rehab to actually packaging the property for sale to investors. My goal throughout my career is always keep learning and continue to build relationships with people because you never know who can help you at some point.

Indianapolis is a great market to invest in and there are many opportunities here for great deals. I hope that through BP I can meet some great people and continue to learn a lot from people who have come before me and learned some valuable lessons so that I may shorten my learning curve. I look forward to engaging in forums and asking questions of the community. Have a great afternoon everyone and please message me if you are near Indianapolis and would like to grab coffee or lunch sometime.
